Somewhere on your family-building journey, you experienced a moment (or multiple moments) that threatened your life or your baby's life, or both.

Your body went into survival mode to keep you alive.

Everything you're feeling served a purpose at one point to help you survive weeks, months or years ago. It was essential. 

That's why I know 100% you aren't broken. Your body worked exactly the way it should have in a dangerous situation.

But now, you're not in danger anymore. Your child is not in danger anymore.

And being in survival mode is doing nothing more than taking a toll on your body from the cumulative effect.

Unfortunately, the standard of care is based on outdated research about what trauma is and how to address it.

OUTDATED APPROACH

  • Talking about your traumatic experiences is the only way to heal.
     

  • If you don't remember what happened to you, you cannot heal fully.
     

  • If you change your thoughts, you can heal and reclaim your life.
     

  • You will need years of support to heal and recover.

MODERN APPROACH

  • Trauma lives in your body where words cannot reach it.
     

  • Your body holds memories your mind cannot remember.
     

  • Talking about your trauma before you experience safety in your body results in high risk of retraumatization.
     

  • Once you experience safety and stabilize your nervous system health, years of support is not needed for most people.
     

  • You do not need to remember everything that happened in order to heal.
     

  • You do not need to retell your story and rehash the past in order to heal.

This doesn't mean you have to give up your therapist or stop talking about what happened to you.

This program is about supporting your body for long-term relief so you can truly feel like you've come out on the other side. That requires consistent effort and practice, not one or two or twenty tools in a toolbox.
     

  • You believe talking, thinking, and cognitive work is the only way to heal. There is very little of that in this program. Healing Hearts is about releasing the trauma that's in your body that words and thoughts cannot reach.
     

  • You're currently pregnant or are looking for support through fertility treatment or pregnancy. This program is specifically for healing and recovery only.
