And being in survival mode is doing nothing more than taking a toll on your body from the cumulative effect.

Unfortunately, the standard of care is based on outdated research about what trauma is and how to address it.

  • Talking about your traumatic experiences is the only way to heal.
     

  • If you don't remember what happened to you, you cannot heal fully.
     

  • If you change your thoughts, you can heal and reclaim your life.
     

  • You will need years of support to heal and recover.

MODERN APPROACH

  • Trauma lives in your body where words cannot reach it.
     

  • Your body holds memories your mind cannot remember.
     

  • Talking about your trauma before you experience safety in your body results in high risk of retraumatization.
     

  • Once you experience safety and stabilize your nervous system health, years of support is not needed for most people.
     

  • You do not need to remember everything that happened in order to heal.
     

  • You do not need to retell your story and rehash the past in order to heal.

This doesn't mean you have to give up your therapist or stop talking about what happened to you.

  • You believe talking, thinking, and cognitive work is the only way to heal. There is very little of that in this program. Healing Hearts is about releasing the trauma that's in your body that words and thoughts cannot reach.

How do I know if Healing Hearts is right for me and my specific situation?


This is by far the most frequently asked questions we receive. Everyone's family-building journey is different and we want to know if our specific situation will be addressed in the program. In most cases, the answer is yes. If you've experienced any type of trauma or traumatic loss while trying to conceive, during your pregnancy, during labor/delivery or after your baby was born, and you don't have clinical symptoms of psychosis or suicidal ideation and you are not currently pregnant, Healing Hearts will help. But we understand that you want to be certain, so email us your details and we will give you an honest answer if Healing Hearts will be helpful for you and your specific situation.




I want to join but I'm worried I won't have enough time to complete the program. What should I do?


This is the second most frequently asked question we get from busy women and moms who don't have time to add one more thing to their plate but know the benefit of healing. Like any new habit we want to add to our lives (working out, eating healthy, seeing friends, etc.) this is something we have to make time for. We will not magically find time for it. And that only happens when we truly value the benefits of this new habit, in this case healing and are truly ready for it. That said, life happens. Life is busy. And it's not always as simple as making time. That's also why Healing Hearts is designed to fit into your busy schedule. Exercises and techniques take no more than 15 minutes, most of them taking only 5-10 minutes at a time. All lessons are delivered in audio format so you can listen to them in the car and on the go. And the best part is, you have lifetime access to Healing Hearts. That means once you're in, you're in forever. So if you only have the bandwith right now to do module 1, you can focus on just module 1. Reap the benefits of that module. Experience the breakthroughs. I think we want more children in the future. Is this program for me or should I wait until we're done trying to conceive to join?


The answer to this question is a question: Do you want to learn how to heal and recover from what you've been through? Or do you want guidance on how to support your body to have a healthy pregnancy next time? If you said yes to the first question, then you can absolutely benefit Healing Hearts before you're pregnant. In fact, the sooner you begin, the more you will be able to heal your body for pregnancy, which is good for you and baby. I'm already seeing a psychologist to work on my trauma. Can I do both at the same time?


Yes! Healing Hearts is not psychotherapy. Nothing in this program is designed to treat mental illness. This program is a body-based program that will teach you how to re-regulate your nervous system and experience relief. The techniques taught in Healing Hearts can facilitate progress in psychotherapy so you can absolutely do them both together.




Is this a self-paced course or is it live?


Both! You work through the material at your pace. Our online community and Healing Hearts Team Member is active throughout the week for you to ask your questions and receive support. Once per month, Parijat will answer questions submitted by Healing Hearts members to guide you through your particular situation so you know how to apply Healing Hearts materials to your specific situation.




I'm currently pregnant, can I joining this program?


I don't recommend Healing Hearts for women who are currently pregnant. The pacing and the depth at which you do healing work during pregnancy needs to be different during pregnancy to protect your health and the health of your baby. Please join us in the Path to Baby program to learn how to support your pregnancy after loss, trauma, complications or prematurity and increase your chances of a better, healthier outcome this time around.

Thank you for your interest! We are honored that Parijat's approach resonates with you, This program is designed to be a very safe space only for women who have experienced loss or trauma on the family-building journey and who are on their personal healing journey currently. It would not be a good fit for you to join for professional development. Will this program help me through a future pregnancy?


The scope of Healing Hearts is to help you recover from previous fertility-, pregnancy-, and/or birth trauma or traumatic loss. It does not include teaching you how to support your body through future pregnancies. That said, many Healing Hearts members take the techniques from the program and use them successfully as they're going through their future pregnancy. Some Healing Hearts members prefer a more personalized approach to their pregnancy and have joined the Path to Baby program to learn how to reduce their risk of complications and preterm delivery.




Do you offer any discounts or scholarships for Healing Hearts Registration?


Not at this time; however there are multiple payment plan options to suit a variety of budgets.




I don't think now is the right time. Can I join later?


You can join any time you want, but ask yourself this: why am I waiting?

  • Are you scared of doing the work? If yes, we completely understand. Doing somethig new can be scary for everyone. The question to ask yourself is - what's worse? Trying something new that's been shown to help women like me heal from around the world or staying in the familiar, exactly where I am, even if I don't feel better? Only you can answer that.
  • Does it feel overwhelming? Totally understand that too. We have been taught to believe that healing work has to be just as painful and hard as the trauma we've been through and that is false, outdated information. This is why Healing Hearts is set up to be completed at your pace and why you have lifetime access. Take your time. Follow your body's lead and you cannot go wrong.
To be very honest, there's no good time to do this work. There's no magic moment where everything aligns making it easy to dive into the work.
The question really is, again, why are you waiting, really?

I'm not sure if what I went through was traumatic. How can I tell?


Here's the thing - trauma is not what happened to you but how your body responded to events that threatened your life, your baby's life or when there was a loss of life. So instead of trying to figure out if the situation was traumatic, let's look at how your body is responding. The best place to start is the This is Trauma series. If two or more of these resonate, it's likely you've experienced some trauma on your family-building journey and you will find Healing Hearts beneficial!
